and then I was wondering why subfolders where not displaying any mails - and the reason was because all the mail in the sub folder was older than 1 month. It is difficult to say without access to the logs, since you are hosted with yahoo. But, I have seen this type of issue when there are a huge amount of emails in the sent folder. This issue with Microsoft Outlook 2013 and Office 365 will cause IMAP folders to not successfully synchronize, therefore inhibit your ability to receive new mail to your inbox.
You guys really look like you know what you are doing so I really hope you can help.
Check if you are storing a lot of emails in your INBOX, as it may be causing a delay.
All other shared mailboxes for other users worked correctly.
All users are running Outlook 2013 32bit with all latest patches at the time of this writing.
This is due to syncing all the folder contents every time it communicates with the mail server. Hello Firo Stefani, Our apologies for the problems that you appear to be having with Outlook and making it work with your email account with us.
Thank you, John-Paul I had the same problem for months. Tried disabling the Show only subscribed folders option first and TADA it works. This was for a business related email address and I was not seeing the emails on time. It's pretty hard to determine how we can help you since we have no details on the issue (Outlook version, account info, error messages, steps to duplicate the possible problem, etc.).In other words, are they opening their mailbox as well as someone elses mailbox as well.Look for 9646 events in the application log of the Server technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb676486(EXCHG.80)social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/outlook/thread/…As a workaround, simply prevent the shared mailboxes from being cached locally by disabling "Download shared folders" on the users Outlook profile. Question, Are these users trying to open more then one mailbox at a time?I was addressing an interesting issue for a customer today where a user with a shared mailbox would not automatically update.
